Whoville Project

Description: For this project we had to show our creativity in which we were given a white piece of paper and 10 pieces of colored paper. We had to use at leas 2 of our own designs and 2 of the designs they provided to draw onto at least 4 of the strips of colored paper. After doing that, we had to use at least 3 different folds of paper to put onto the white piece of paper. On each of the strips of colored paper we had to make tabs to glue down the strips to the white paper so that they did not come unglued. At the end, we hung up our projects with everyone else's in the class to make one big Whoville.

Extension Activity: For this extension activity, I would have the students write a short paper about their Whoville as if they were the mayor of the town. They would have to explain how things get done their and how the people work together to make the town successful. The students need to be very descriptive with their writing to show how their Whoville is different from their classmates.
